💼 Business & economy

Colombia is one of Latin America’s larger economies, with services, manufacturing, energy, mining, agriculture and tourism all contributing to commercial life. Bogotá is the main corporate centre, while Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Cartagena are important regional hubs. Coffee, flowers, bananas and other agricultural products remain internationally visible exports.

Business visitors should confirm current tax, immigration, customs and company-registration requirements with Colombian authorities and qualified local advisers before committing capital or signing contracts. Regulations, exchange rates and sector rules can change.
